I have a confession to make. Last year I lost my blogging mojo. I don’t know where it went, or even when it disappeared, but by the end of 2012 I knew it was definitely missing.
After a fruitless hunt over Christmas, I knew I needed to just bite the bullet and replace it. With a different blogging-mojo-model. One that hopefully would not get lost this time.
Whilst puzzling over how I had lost it in the first place, I came to the conclusion that it had all become about search engines and marketing myself. Which is all very important I know, but quite frankly, sometimes it *whispers* gets a bit much. And I think that’s where the mojo started to get lost. I had forgotten why I had started to blog in the first place. It was a place to let people get to know me (and my work) a bit better, as well as a place to let my absolute passion for photography and what I can bring to families, shine through.
So, I have decided to re-write my rules a little bit. Or perhaps not even have rules *gasp*. I am going to bring more of ‘me’ into my blog – more of my life, my family and more about why I love photography. I want it to be more authentic and more inspiring for families and photography-lovers. I shall be inviting some other people along too, as guests. Be warned, there may be some witterings and quirky photo randomness as we go.
I would love to bring you along for the ride too, if you’d like to join me. It would be fab to get the occasional comment that isn’t from someone doing that weird spamming thing (what IS that about anyway?). I have a spanky new facebook plugin which makes it very simple and quick to say something, I promise.
I have lots of ideas buzzing around in my head for the blog this year, as I have for my business. I am going to be brave, in lots of ways. It’s going to be a blast. I have a brand-new 2013 Mojo. Hurrah.
