In my last blog post, I described what it was like to teach my new ‘Your Camera Means Business’ Workshop. In this blog post I turn it around and you can hear what the attendees have to say and see some of their photos! Here are the fab group of ladies that came along and learnt LOTS!
Since this workshop, I have really been blown away by the photos that have been emailed and tweeted to me! I’m a proud teacher and delighted to show-off some of my student’s work:
Lucinda Slater – www.lucindaslater.com
Lucinda works with people to help them communicate their uniqueness with confidence. She specialises in speaking skills and personal presence and branding.
Wanted to achieve: Use my own photos, that have meaning to me, in my blog/newsletter, rather than relying on stock photos. Capture the wonder of nature and for those photos to be eye catching and not just look like snaps.
Feedback: “I had a wonderful day, and really enjoyed your workshop”….and a few days later an email popped into my inbox entitled “Photography is addictive!” which really made me smile!

Nicky Lynch – www.intrinsichealth.co.uk
Nicky is a complementary therapist using BodyTalk and other techniques. She looks at the different aspects that affect a persons health & wellbeing including the physical, emotional, mental & spiritual to enable the body to heal & release holding patterns keeping the person ‘stuck’ in health and/or life.
Wanted to achieve: Use own photos to show BodyTalk techniques and photograph different ideas to show analogies as backgrounds and images for my blog.
Feedback: “I have a clear sense of what I wish to achieve and how to go about it with my camera now. Your workshop has given me the confidence to use my camera much more than I have ever before and to capture pictures I have only been able to envisage in my minds eye or in a magazine! I am really loving experimenting and looking out for images to capture that are relevant to future blogs that I have planned.”
Photo taken during the workshop itself, as part of one of the practical, ‘hands-on’ elements of the day – I love the simplicity and composition of this:

Claire Leigh – www.two-ducks.co.uk
Claire sells design led British gifts – mainly hand crafted including candles, jewellery, textiles, body products and ceramics. She will soon be opening a shop in St. Johns, Woking!
Wanted to achieve: To be able to photograph my products as they come in and also lifestyle shots – there is such a variety of products so I need to be versatile!
Feedback: “Perfect pitch & knowledge level and more inspiring for my whole business than i would have imagined!”
Claire has kindly given me a sample photo BEFORE she did the workshop, and one a few days afterwards – just look at the difference!
