Fleeting moments in nature :: An Extended Family Portrait Session in the Surrey bluebells ::

As the last of the bluebells fade away for another year, I have one last bluebell shoot to show you. Whereas the last one was about finding hidden spaces, this shoot was quite different and in a place very well known for it’s amazing bluebell display: Winkworth Arboretum on the edge of Godalming in Surrey.

I love being able to add extra layers of memories into photographs for families, so I was delighted to do this extended Family Portrait Session in a place that is not only incredibly beautiful, but that holds years and years of stories for them as a family. Plus there was the added joy of a new grandson that had recently arrived into the family!

It was such a lovely relaxed morning, wandering around the bluebells and woods and chatting – and it was really clear to see that this was a very close and tight-knit family who genuinely love spending time together – they were an absolute pleasure to photograph.

As always, it’s really difficult to pick just a few, but here are some of my favourites. Hope you enjoy them.
